RIMMEL

Rimmel London was surprisingly founded in 1834 when a teenage Eugene Rimmel became his father’s apprentice at his perfumery in London. By his early twenties Eugene had become an expert perfumer himself and a complete cosmetics guru, opening his own flagship store in the Regent Street, right in the middle of London’s famous shopping district. When he passed away in 1887, his two sons took over the Rimmel family business and it turned into the international empire we know today. Ironically for the Rimmel brand, eye make-up became the central focus of the brand with focus on mascaras, which just flew off the shelves, and is now the number one selling mascaras in the world.
