99 PROBLEMS BUT DRY SKIN AIN’T ONE!

It’s no secret that as winter approaches a few things take a turn for the worse, comfort food haunts us and our running shoes begin to gather a little dust and getting up for work becomes almost impossible. But worse still is our skin begins to represent the cracked landscapes of the Sahara Desert, but not this year! In 2018 we are prepared and will maintain our glowing summer skin at all costs and we think you should too, so we’re put together a nifty little list of natural remedies that will keep you looking your absolute best.

1. Coconut oil

Our go to for almost everything, but it truly is natures miracle when it comes to your skin and your hair. Coconut oil is gentle enough to be used daily and is suitable for even the most sensitive areas of your body, like the area underneath your eyes and around your mouth. Not to mention it’ll leave your skin feeling soft, healthy and nourished.

2. Petroleum jelly

Studies show that petroleum jelly products, like Vaseline, can heal skin in older adults as well as create a protective layer over the skin -this means it does two jobs in one since its healing and protecting at the same time.

3. Antioxidants and Omega-3s

We may all laugh off our mothers when they beg us to take our vitamins daily and be sure to get enough fruit and veg into our diets, but they might actually be onto something! When your skin is dry, it means you’re exposing it to elements that are damaging skin cells faster than your body can repair them. Luckily, there are a few things you can put inside to help on the outside – foods rich in antioxidants can minimize damage from toxins and help your body make healthy cells a little faster.
